A fun and light-hearted piece, ALLOY is Alison’s choreographic debut. Alison and her friend Nora Brickman created the piece in its first form while they were studying at Boston Conservatory at Berklee. There, a teacher likened Nora and Alison’s personalities to that of the coming together of “basil & garlic”, which inspired the title of the piece “ALLOY”. With the support of Ms Brickman, Alison then went on to extend the piece in 2012, when she started Alison Cook Beatty Dance. The duet in the beginning of ALLOY, is the original choreography that Nora and Alison first created their freshman year at Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
