This unique promenade performance invites the audience to move through the galleries, experiencing dancers, musicians, puppeteers, and hoopers celebrating and critically examining George Bernard Shaw’s “Pygmalion.”
Alison Cook-Beatty, Artistic Director of Alison Cook Beatty Dance, a nonprofit in NYC of 13 years will be creating a compelling 5-minute classical modern dance adaptation of George Bernard Shaw’s “Pygmalion” for three core company dancers of ACBD, Maddie Burnett, Ava Trochiano and Ioanna Ioannides which captures the essence of Eliza Doolittle’s transformative journey, highlighting themes of identity and societal expectation.
Bird puppets created by Dan Potter and Alison Cook-Beatty, with help of Dan Cook will be incorporated into the piece.
