Gion Treichler is from Zurich, Switzerland. He began his pre-professional dance training at Zurich Dance Academy (taz) and the Ballet School of the Opera House Zurich. In 2022, Gion earned his BFA in Contemporary Dance from Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK), where he performed works by Caroline Finn, Filipe Portugal, Regina Van Berkel, and Nadav Zelner. Gion first came to NYC in the Fall of 2021 where he joined Martha Graham Dance’s second company, Graham 2. During his two years with the company, he performed Graham’s masterpieces and danced in works by Bradley Shelver, Yoshito Sakuraba and Virginie Mecene. Most recently Gion has danced as a Company Member with Dance Kaleidoscope and performed in Pieces by Joshua Blake Carter, David Hochoy, Janice Rosario and Mariel Greenlee-Lungu among others. He is very excited to be a member of Alison Cook Beatty Dance and the season ahead.
