Choreography: Alison Cook-Beatty
Music: To Be Fallen For, Composed by Dr Young Mi Ha
Visual Artist: Posoon Park Sung
Performance Info: One dancer; ten minutes
Premiered at The Frederick Loewe Theater NYU in New York City

TO BE FALLEN FOR began when Dr Young Mi Ha, inspired by the paintings of Posoon Park, wrote this piece of music. Young Mi (the mentor of Eunbi Kim, who had previously composed for and collaborated with Alison) then reached out to Alison and asked her to create a solo.
Looking at the beautiful self-portaits painted by Posoon Park, who was a breast cancer patient, and listening to Youngmi’s music, Alison then created this solo dance piece about overcoming the smallest things and the biggest things, and the strength needed to take that first step.
Posoon Park is a visual artist from Korea. Her paintings are in collection at the June Kelly Gallery in Soho, NYC
